The couple ordered:
1. Personalised wedding magnet set (Magnet, backing insert, thank you note)
2. Personalised wedding invitation cards (with 2-sided venue map prints)
3. Signages for directions to the venue
4. Crochet flowers and gold ribbons (additional packaging)
5. Some blank notes with similar design as the thank you note (to jot down some personal messages to friends)
So, I managed to complete the wedding order over the weekends. Be amazed! I am amazed myself. I thought I would need 2-3 days to tie the hand crochet flowers with gold ribbons on the favors. If I didn’t take some time out that day to help Mike with some work, I am certain I would have completed the order on Saturday; it overflowed to Sunday though.
I really feel proud of myself completing this job order though. The gold ribbon gives an exquisite grandness to the favor, yet complemented with a gentle touch by the crochet flowers. That gives a really delicate presentation.
As usual, I deliver way before the stipulated lead time. I normally calculate extra times to allow any hiccups of delay in the process. I don’t rush wedding orders, wedding is an important life event for the couple, it is important that wedding vendors do not contribute additional stress to the couple who has tons of things in mind to get done with.
I sure hope that the guest would feel special when receiving the favors from the couple. There is a lot of appreciation from the couple packed in each favor. Every effort is made just so that the couple gets to show their sincerest appreciation towards the honored guests who take time to attend their special day.
All the well wishes to Martin & Ying!

The standard gift wrap decoration.
New wraping decoration, this is a ‘carrier style’ packaging, using the ribbon as a carrier loop, this will avoid covering up the customised magnet and the wordings at the back.

Packaging is an art, the item may be small, but the presentation is factored into the impression that your receiver have about you. Featured here is an idea, tie around a matching colored crochet flower with a glittering gold ribbon. Gold color has always been a symbol of great value and elegance. Tie it around on the corner if you like, so that you can still show off the gorgeous magnet. The sky is the limit for your creativity!
This crochet flower is handmade. Each gift flower is priced at S$10/pack, each pack consists of 15 flowers. Bulk order enjoys a larger discount off the price, this offer is especially extended to the wedded couple, or party organizers. For orders above quantity of 100 units, please send in a request for quote to sales@simpleartsplanet.com.

This day of the year has arrived again to credit the hardworking mother who doesn’t complain about the hardship over the years.
Mike has gotten a new cell phone for his mother. I remmeber when Mike’s mum was at my retail spot just the other day, and we presented her with the crocet/felted hobo bag which I made her, she asked if there was cell phone case. Ahhhhh.. Now I can jump on that opportunity to make her one. I am sure she will be happy to receive a new gorgeous cell phone, complete with a cell phone case!
Her cell phone is slightly longer than the usual size that I made for sale, so I custom made one just for her. There is no flurry fuzzy yarn on the opening, as I think she would prefer simple design.
It’s always a pleasure to use variegated yarn, you never can tell how the pattern arrangement can turn out into. For this one, it amazingly formed slant stripes. It was so unintentional, and I doubt I can plan to do that anyway.

As usual, crochetted flower which has become my signature gift wrapping style, is whipped up for this special gift too. It is really very pretty to attach a crochet flower and tie it with a nice ribbon. I have also included a gift tag, whereby I punched a hole with one-hole puncher and wrote some sweet note, slipped into the ribbon. There you go, a very neat gift to get into my mum-in-law’s good book!

I’m not sure, but I do think my Chinese handwriting sucks! I used to write better in both English and Chinese. Somewhat, after years of being Secretary, I am ‘cultivated’ to scribble, when bosses out there speak so quickly, I couldn’t care less to write beautifully. Technology plays a part in my poor handwritten words too. I realised I couldn’t write without making mistakes! So to speak, the ‘backspace’, ‘undo’ are so convenient, my brain must have been so trained to be less cautious and prone to mistakes. My brain says, ‘What’s the big deal, after all, we can always undo the mistakes’.

I have improvised the crochet flowers specially to cater for Gift Decoratives usage.
This is achieved by creating a loop in the centre of the flower, which will allow to pull through the ribbon from the back of the flower. That leaves the flower sweetly tied showing the complete flower.
Previously, we need to pull through the ribbon from the centre hole of the flower, which means having one portion of the ribbon tied through the flower.
This flower is a typical Simple Arts Planet flower. Soon SAP signature flower will be standardised with yellow/orange, in sync with the logo design.

Four leaf clover, especially when chanced upon, symbolizes very lucky. Unlike the more common 3 leaf clover, 4 leaf clover is considered very rare to find.
I had made flower appliques, but I thought a sweet 4 leaf clover would be nice for embellishments for many craft projects. These crocheted clovers are made of 100% cotton yarn, they are very soft!
They make perfect embellisment for bookscrapping, greeting/gift cards, sew them on small pouches, gloves, or anywhere you can think of! Sky is the limit for creative minds!
Although 4 leaf clover is green in color, but I made them in baby blue, and sweet variegated pink. I love to play around with colors. I am now making some clovers in variegated green/yellow/white, they are made of 100% acryllic.
Other appliques will be available soon. Keep your eyes peeled!
