if they survive till Christmas, that is..

I was expecting a Christmas gift from Cyndi, since she revealed this to me some days ago. She was worried that the postman may damage the box (and now I know why). I did a little guessing that she might have gotten me a nice decorative box, perhaps?

Or a toy box that would pop up a cute cat? She told me that she wanted to cheer me up when I told her she really shouldn’t have got me anything.

When I received this today, there were ramblings of ’stuffs’, I thought it must be some cute toys, Cyndi is great with cute stuffs!

When I tore the brown paper, and bubble wraps apart (yeah, I was really excited, like a child), I saw the word ‘Meiji’, and I went, ‘Oh my god!!!!’.

Meiji is one of my favorite brands for sweets and food stuffs (including yogurt!)!!!!! When I opened up the box, the ‘candy beast’ in me leaped out of me!!!! I’d probably salivated!!!!

As soon as the photos were taken, I rampaged through the many yummies, and got a little stressed up with deciding which one to start the ‘kill’. ‘Pucca’ is the first to go.

This is Puuurrrrrfect!!!!!!!!

Thank you so very much, Cyndi!!!!!! Now I really feel bad about not having anything to gift.

I received this cutie little santa cell charm a while ago, but I was (still is) too busy to take photos of it.

He came as a pleasant surprise in the mailbox from Shirley, of Beading Fantasy! Shirley and I have not met in person, but we have ‘known’ each other from crafting, and it must have been 2 years since we last ‘met’ online.

I could only imagine how much time and effort has been put into making this pretty Santa. The photo does not do justice to the actual item, it must have required superb workmanship and patience to finish this.

Thank you very much, Shirley!! I truly appreciate it. The pleasure is all mine to be acquainted with you.

Christmas was my favorite festive season when I was a small child, even though the Lunar New Year usually fetched more money (as in real money, it’s a Chinese custom for married people to hand out red packets containing real cash to children, parents, and/or unmarried people). What did we know about money back then? It’s more exciting to receive gifts.

The truth is that most of us loves pleasant surprises, even if we deny it, just so that we may present ourselves as ‘cool’ and different. The suspense of guessing what ‘treasure’ is wrapped under the nice wrappers, and placed under the Christmas tree, is a thrill!

We used to rush to the big (not that big really, but everything looked so huge when we were small, eh?) tree, and looked for our names on the wrappers or gift tags. Our hearts sat with the gifts throughout the day, just waiting for the ‘green light’ to go get our gifts.

Let’s hope that the upcoming new year would unwrap with more pleasant surprises. May there be more joy, happiness, and peace.

Needless to emphasize, it is no secret that my favorite angel is angel of light. It was originally designed as a girl angel.

The customer who ordered a bunch of these angels, requested for a mix of angels in both girls and boys, so the boy version of angel of light is born.

This is taking me forever to finish, because in between rushing out this batch of angels, I have been squeezing in other single and smaller batches of orders into the crocheting madness!

Now that they are finally completed, I need to go wrap them up individually and get them ready to be delivered tomorrow. Obviously, this is a local order, I would have declined this order if it’s international (like I already did for recent requests, I can’t express my sincerest apologies enough).

Sorry for the absence of updates, more so that I will continue to go MIA until the new year begins, as my work schedule is still air-tight for non-Christmas orders and wedding orders.

The box of supplies was sitting at one quiet corner for a week before I could do something about it. I still have a bunch of photos to edit, meanwhile, these new eyes and noses are in store now.

I might not have time to roll out the newsletter until all other orders are cleared, so I’ll mention the changes here instead.

# there are adjustments made to the prices of some of the supplies, mainly affecting craft eyes, noses, and cell straps. (the prices are adjusted down, in case you wonder)
# bulk discount section is removed for eyes/nose; and tools and accessories
# with the price reduction, the eyes/noses section is no longer eligible for further discount. i.e. club, birthday, or discount coupons etc.

The key reason for the this change is mainly for better inventory control in our shopping cart system. At times stocks sell out faster than we could act on manual update on both sections, and that could result in more hassle in communication the stock discrepancies to buyers, and we understand that it can be very disappointing and annoying to be informed that the items you had purchased are sold out.

We are constantly improving our flow of order process and shopping cart, so that your shopping experience with us is always enjoyable.

My friends are ‘complaining’ that I am too busy, and that my fb status are frequently plastered with heavy emphasis on my busy work schedules, and worst of all, the ever ‘rushing out orders’ statement.

What can I tell you? I am indeed truly terribly packed in schedule, and I still have a bunch of dolls cooking half way in the pot. I respect my friends’ feedback though, and I honestly appreciate the frankness, because it’s a flag up that others might feel the same way about it, and I am actually risking friends filtering out from their feed. That would be sad.

My friends didn’t mean to offend me, but being very honest and good friends, they meant it the good way. True enough, I have turned on the ‘hide’ feature to block out some friends already, because these friends are not talking about anything else but rushing out orders and how busy they have been, it is indeed true that it is getting annoying.

I spent a day making this stack of happy coasters, happy because the colors are so vibrant and when placed together, it’s difficult not feel brightened up. Colors have ability to heal, don’t they?

I took some photos today, with proper photographing setup, but I want to take the photos of the coasters in stack and spread out, which obviously my busy mind hasn’t thought throught that before tucking away the setup. I took the photos on my keyboard drawer, which you may be assured that it’s clean, because the user (me) has mild OCD condition and cleans the keyboard, keyboard drawer, mouse, wrist pad, and desk with antibacterial wipes. I have just ordered in a dozen of the wipes..haha

Also.. If.. I mean.. IF I could afford some time later in the evening, I will try to edit the photos of the new supplies (new craft eyes, new craft noses, and other new supplies) and upload it to the server. I haven’t have time to do the costing yet, so I’ll need to work on that for a bit before listing them up. The box is unhappily sitting at one corner for nearly a week now, but I am just overwhelmed with work right now. If you don’t see them up today, it is likely to be tomorrow.

There are some naive times that I would believe (still do) that there is no real bad people in this world. In my altered fairytales, I choose to believe that every baddie could be counseled and become better and turn over a new leaf. I always tell a story that the baddie come around eventually.
